I figured I should counter the previous downer post with a more positive one. So here is the sol’s Raving Space!
So for those that actually read these stupid little updates about my life… why? Jokes aside, I’ve mentioned before about my losing my part-time job in my previous ranting post. If you live in the United States and have heard of a certain store closing (don’t know if it is in just my state or others) and leaving a LOT of people out of the job, then yes, I am one of those many employees affected by it.
But this is a rave post, not a rant post, so I will turn that negative into a positive. And the reason I’m able to do that right now is because… Drum-roll please!—–
I GOT A NEW JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know, I know: “sol, it’s a part-time job, not full-time…” Well, I go to school full-time and I need a job to pay bills so…. it is needed for me. I had applied to so many places, easily 15+ places, and it seemed like no one wanted to hire a college student. However, the other day I decided to apply to this one place I just recently discovered, same type of job, and it is an adorable and neat store. It’s so cute! 8D
So I applied and got a call about a little over a day later to come in for an interview the very next day. I then get called the next morning after said interview and they seemed really happy to bring me on board! Needless to say, the moment the call ended, I’ve been on a happiness high ever since. And so far everyone I’ve spoken to involved there have been SUPER nice and friendly, so I cannot wait to start!
Basically I’m not off that happiness high just yet, so I felt the need to talk about it, lol. The thought of not having anything after my current store closes was something that stressed me out beyond belief, especially since I have some other personal matters to deal with in a limited amount of time involving my education and so it just felt like everything was breaking at once. It was a mess! Now that I know that I will most likely have a job after my store closes (just waiting on a background check, identification, typical job hiring procedures), only half of it is a mess! Kidding aside, I’m thankful that I don’t have to go without pay for an extended period of time. And for my fellow co-workers that still have yet to find something, I hope and pray that all is well for them and they find something soon!
Well minna-san… stay frost! And to those that don’t have to work while in school, especially college… I envy you lucky bastards! Stay frosty! ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ
